PosterBored Will Let You Touch it For Cheap! · 42 days ago

You know those lying bastards on car commercials who always say “We bought too many cars so now we’re having a sale-a-thon!” and you’re like “What bullshit, how can you buy too many fucking cars?” well, I am glad that you’re using discernment and your critical thinking skills, but it’s true: sometimes you buy a ton of shit and then it’s in your dining room and your girlfriend has nowhere to have her tea and whiskey and absolutely refuses to touch your happy spot(s) until you resolve the situation, and here we are selling you posters starting at six goddamn dollars.

Holy fuck. I know dude.

Seriously, we are clearing this shit out and trying to make some room in our apartment (and in our hearts) for some new artwork, so if you ever thought about buying with us before and thought ‘meh, some other time,’ this is that other time because I’m sure as hell not letting you get in our posterpants for so cheap ever again.

New School Year, New Walls to Prettify! · 212 days ago

OK, so it’s been a while. Just a little while. I think we may have last talked back around…hmm. Well, we won’t even pretend we don’t know. It was Christmas. Yeah. We know, we know. And now it’s August. Almost all the way back around to Christmas again.

Where have we been? Oh, man. Well, we’ve been working on some other projects. There’s been some writing and filmmaking happening. There’s a little etsy store out there too…Annie has a lot of her handcrafted cards up at Punch!Cards.

And we’ve been drinking wine. Lots of wine.

Yep, we made this the Summer of Wineries. We decided to drive all over Illinois and see what the grapes were like. We’ve been to nearly a dozen now, and we’ve got a few more planned for this fall.

You might be thinking “Wineries? Isn’t that all stuffy serious business with like corks and sniffing your glass and being all classy and NOT getting into fights with other drunk people when drunk?” To that we say: Only a little bit. The rest of the time it’s meeting cool people who own acres and acres of grapes and other fruit and like to say things like “Hey, can we offer you eight free glasses of this tasty strawberry or blueberry or whiskey-ish tasting alcohol?”

When people ask you questions like this, you say yes.

(As an aside: go find the wineries in your state. Go visit them. Lots of times, they’re small, locally owned business who could use the attention…you might meet the owners and you will learn a lot about wine. Besides: drinking!)

But the summer has to end sometime, and things change. We’re staying a little closer to home, and focusing more on making sure you can get some awesome, affordable art that is going to encourage people to think that, inside, you are as damn beautiful as you are on the outside.

We’ve got two new artists who are ready to get up on the walls of your dorm room, new apartment, ill-considered condo or murder shed. Nate Wragg does his incredible work out in California, and Chris Marino is one of the Innocent Citizens.

Each of these works is just eight bucks. Oh yeah! We guess that’s kind of a big deal worth mentioning: We’re sticking with the $8 poster price for a little while.

When you buy three, you get free UPS shipping.

That’s three of these cool posters for only $24, shipped!

As always, your order will include a blow pop.

So, yeah. I know that we’re saying this now, but we really should talk again before Christmas. Like the rest of the people in your life that you used to know but haven’t talked to in forever, we’re on Facebook and, of course, we have a sporadically updated Twitter page.

Use either one of them to suggest to us an artist you like, or just say hi when you’ve had a few glasses too many*

Tipsily yours,

Bill & Annie

*We cannot give you a ride home, we are not going that way, and we have to wake up super early, we are so so sorry

Get Under the Mistletoe With Us! · 451 days ago

‘Tis the season of giving, goodwill toward men, and putting neat poster artwork up on your wall! We’re having a holiday sale til the end of the year!

We’ve got a lot to be thankful for this Holiday season: We’ve got a great new look, a great new poster in the store, and we somehow managed to write this blog entry without resorting to making it a “Twas the night before Christmas” parody update!

That was really, really hard.

In appreciation for all of the above, and more, we’ve cut prices on nearly everything in the store! From now until the end of 2008, all posters start at $8! Our first PosterBored t-shirt is now only $10! And, as always, on orders of any three items or more, we offer free UPS ground shipping!

In addition to our new look and new prices, we’re also adding a new monthly contest. Each month, we’ll be giving artists another chance to win prizes and gain even more exposure by putting their design at the top of our page. We’ll be sharing more info about the monthly contest soon!

We’ve got Christmas lists to finish, so we’ll sum this up: Posters for only 8 bucks for the rest of ’08! A new monthly contest and new prizes to win! And you, us, and a sprig of mistletoe: Let’s get into some merrymaking.

PosterBored is too sexy for this shirt! · 662 days ago

With 10 cycles of America’s Next Top Model behind us and Project Runway being one of the most highly talked about shows at the water cooler, PosterBored decided it was about time to get in on the action. So, we set out with a camera, some friends, and a level of smug superiority that would rival Tyra Banks, and we came back with what we think are some really neat t-shirts!

Who can deny the magnetic pull of a good comfortable t-shirt and a pair of jeans? Definitely not us at PosterBored! That’s why we’ve decided to add a t-shirt to our store!!!!!!

The t-shirt is based on the much beloved Chromeo design, and is expertly printed by Chicago’s own Propaganda on a unisex, ultra light Hanes tee that features the exact same cut as the popular American Apparel t-shirt. 100% cotton, 100% hotness. Featured in sizes S-XL.

We plan on adding more shirts to the store as soon as we can, so keep checking back, and we’ll try to get your skinny pale bods covered before you lose that immunity challenge.
